With A Musician’s Life, Viennese singer-songwriter, pianist, and composer Martin Klein released an album in late September 2025 that lives up to its title in every sense: it is at once an artistic retrospective, an emotional snapshot, and a musical outlook – rich in layers, poetic in tone, and full of sonic discovery. Entirely self-written, arranged, recorded, and produced, the album is a deeply personal work that immerses itself in Klein’s musical and biographical journey – without ever slipping into anecdote.
Delicate piano compositions, English-language lyrics, grooving electronic textures, and multi-voiced choral layers reflect the breadth of Klein’s artistic vision – a soundscape suspended between melancholic restraint and eruptive euphoria. His music moves across a wide spectrum, blending introspective songwriting, jazz-inflected harmonies, electronic experimentation, and classical structure. Tying it all together is Klein’s gentle, clear voice, which runs like a thread throughout the album, bringing a deeply human intimacy even to its most intricate arrangements.
A true work of art.
